The Tibetian bowls are played using a wooden stick pressed against the side and do not continue to resonate as long as a crystal bowl. The Tibetian bowl plays several notes at one time, the crystal bowl plays only one. The Tibetian bowl has a subtle sound and in order to best appreciate it, the bowl needs to be held to the ear; the crystal bowl is loud and can be heard quite well from a distance. When used for healing the Tibetian bowls have the energy of the seven metals from which they are made whereas the crystal singing bowls have the living energy of quartz crystal. All quartz crystals have 6 primary properties. They are able to structure, store, amplify, focus, transmit and transform energy. By energy, that includes matter, thought, emotion and information. Quartz naturally harmonises and energizes our physical and subtle bodies. Both bowls release stress and clear energy fields.
